whosayah is operated by FastoCloud. By uploading a file you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the service.
What you get
A free transcription service, with no account and no payment. Files up to 100 MB and 60 minutes. There are rate limits, and one transcription runs at a time per visitor, so that the service stays available to everyone rather than to whoever automates hardest.
You must have the right to upload the recording
This is the one obligation that matters, so it is not buried: you are responsible for having the right to record and to upload what you send us. Many countries and US states require the consent of everyone recorded, not just one participant. If you recorded a call, meeting or interview, make sure the people on it agreed. We cannot check this and do not; the responsibility is yours.
Do not upload material you have no right to, and do not upload anything unlawful.
Machine transcription is not a record
The transcript is produced by software and will contain mistakes — misheard words, wrong punctuation, and speaker labels attached to the wrong person, especially on short interjections and crosstalk. Do not rely on it as evidence, as a medical or legal record, or for any decision where being wrong is expensive. Check it against the audio before you trust it.
Availability
The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It may be slow, unavailable, or discontinued, and transcripts are deleted automatically after 24 hours (see the Privacy Policy). Keep your own copy of anything you need — download it when it is ready.
Fair use
Do not attempt to bypass the limits, automate bulk submissions, or otherwise degrade the service for other people. We may block access that does. The limits exist because transcription costs real computing time, and this is offered free.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, FastoCloud is not liable for any loss arising from use of this service, including inaccurate transcripts, lost or deleted transcripts, or unavailability. Since the service is free, no refund or compensation applies.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top will say when. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
